Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

#1. Metabolic Conditioning: Sprints, high intensity cardio, builds stamina and lung capacity, burns fat and gets you ready for any physical challenge.

How soon will I see results @ CrossFit Plantation?
Everyone is different with different types of bodies. Some can see improvements in performance in as little time as 1 week. Many see visual improvements in 3 weeks, depending on your effort level and maintaining a healthy diet. It is very common to see students lose weight, tone up, increase muscle mass and decrease in body fat when consistently attending CrossFit Plantation.
CrossFit Plantation will conduct weekly assessments and fitness tests to gauge fitness improvements. These tests will be recorded to show and document improvement and areas to improve on to maximize individual results.
What if I have a specific injury (i.e. bad knees or back) or can't perform a certain exercise?
We will provide modified workouts that are personalized for you as alternatives to strengthen your body and still give you the most intense workout you can have.

Will I be sore?
Most people feel some soreness after the first few days. It gets better as time goes on.
Will you yell at us?
Yes, there will be yelling involved, but only in a motivating and healthy manner. We don't abuse, harass or degrade, just positive reinforcement and encouragement and some good jokes and fun.
What do I need to bring?
You should bring water and a hand towel (if you sweat a lot). We recommend workout shorts or pants and t-shirt/tank and running/athletic shoes.
